  I am forbidden by law to protest against the positive racism you promote. I want a total ban on immigration, a total repeal of racially-related laws, and a reciprocal arrangement to the country where the alien came from: No business can be started without a British National having a 50% stake in it, aliens to pay for their healthcare if they have been resident in this country less than say, 2 years, and paid their taxes and NHI in this time, and no automatic right to anything if they are not prepared to become a British Subject by studying our language and culture and passing a citizenship test.

  I am very disapointed by this. Generally one would expect the Liberals to come up with sensible, thought through policies & not knee-jerk headline grabbers. Universal state benefits are no longer affordable - means testing is the only way to gaurantee that the government's resources reach those who most need it. Many pensioners are very well off - why should we be giving £160 a week to people who are able to support themselves?

  What does this mean? - 'modernising copyright for the digital age' could mean anything, and it definitely falls well short of a definitive statement of where Labour stands on the current debate on 'fair use' of conent. This seems to be the only part of their manifesto that touches on this very important area - (unless i am missing it) there is no mention anwhere of software patents. Very dissapointing as I believe this will be one of the key decisions the next government will need to take.

  I thought Labour had already tried longer/bigegr franchises? The franchises are the main problem with the current system and the LibDems (and Labour) should be talking about nationalising them after they expire, not extension.
